After months of preparation, we are excited to announce that we are moving all of our servers to a new environment hosted with Google Cloud technology. This move will automatically bring security updates and performance enhancements to your Co-op Web Builder (CWB) website.
While moving is surely exciting for us, we need your help with the final task. If you have a CWB 2.0 site, please update your DNS records with your domain registrar by the end of July.
Between now and July 31, be sure to update your DNS records to 126.96.36.199.
This process is almost identical to the changes you made when your Co-op Web Builder 2.0n site originally went live. Once your records are updated, your Co-op Web Builder site traffic will be flowing through our new, shiny Google environment.
Old DNS: 188.8.131.52
New DNS: 184.108.40.206
The update is important, because we will be shutting down our Rackspace servers soon and we don’t want anyone to encounter an offline website.
You can quickly lookup your website URL at Domain Tools to find out who your domain registrar is. The Registrar entry will show you what company you originally registered your website URL with. The Name Server will clue you in on if any third party companies are involved in your DNS settings (sometimes this is a third-party contractor or local ISP near the co-op).
In the example below, you can instantly tell that you need to login to your Go Daddy account to find your DNS records. In addition, you can also tell that Cloudflare plays some part in your DNS records as well, so you would want to login to both Go Daddy and Cloudflare to ensure updates are made across all domain registrars.
Login to your website and visit the Wizard link in your admin toolbar. If your Wizard looks just like the screenshot below, you are using Co-op Web Builder 2.0.
We thank you for your continued support of the program while we work hard to keep the environment up to date. If you have any questions or concerns at all, please let us know any time by emailing [email protected] or calling 1-800-710-7346.
