June 7 | CWB Best Practices | 12 p.m EST
The freedom to do whatever you want on a website is amazing and compelling at the same time. We all have common questions when building a website, but how do we know we are following best practice methods?
Are you saving images for the web properly? Do your filenames and formats make sense to a web browser? Maybe you just want to know the best way to create links and/or enhance them with title attributes. Should you use a basic block or a column component when building a page? Are you using Headings properly in order to achieve high accessibility scores?
Let’s empower ourselves by discussing the right and the wrong answers, so you can walk away as a best practice know it all.

June 21| The Vital Role of Economic Development | 2 p.m EST
Economic development is crucial in helping co-op communities thrive. During this one hour webinar, we’ll hear from James Chavez, president & CEO of the South Carolina Power Team, about his team’s past success in bringing business to co-op territories throughout the state. Winning a Volvo manufacturing plant is only the tip of the iceberg for the accolades the SC Power Team has accomplished. James will also provide valuable tips for smaller co-ops that may be without a strong regional economic development organization to help them recruit job creators to their areas.
In addition, Bruce Nuzum, the SVP of Finance for the Iowa Area Development Group and NREDA President, will talk about the importance of REDLG funds to rural communities. From incubating small businesses toto helping local schools, hospitals as well as fire and rescue acquire needed resources, these funds are out there for electric co-ops to secure. We’ll get the top reasons why now is the right time to join NREDA and collaborate with rural economic developers, nationwide.
