Geoff Oldfather, communications and public relations manager of Arizona’s G&T Cooperatives in Benson, was recently elected as the new president of the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Board of Directors.
The Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Board of Directors consists of 13 members responsible for setting policy, establishing long-term goals, monitoring general operations, and approving the organizational outcomes and allocation of resources.
“It’s really an honor to serve on the board,” Oldfather said. “The strength of the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives brand comes from our member cooperatives and the people at the end of the line. We have a stronger, more engaged Touchstone Energy membership than ever, and that means we have more opportunity to grow the brand and maximize the value it brings.”
Oldfather has served on the Touchstone Energy Board of Directors for five years. His role as president begins his final year on the board.
The board also elected Roger Meader, CEO of Coos-Curry Electric Cooperative in Port Orford, OR, as vice president, and Doug Miller, vice president of statewide services at Ohio REC in Columbus, OH, as secretary-treasurer.
Oldfather, Meader and Miller were elected on February 18 at the board’s meeting in New Orleans.
