To support their board initiative to increase the attendee experience at their Annual Meeting, Texas Electric Cooperatives (TEC) embraced Co-op Web Builder (CWB) to create a micro-site for their 78th TEC Annual Meeting. This CWB site helped TEC to create a visually attractive site that members could easily browse, as well as allow for users to learn about networking opportunities, keynote speakers and evaluate training options.
Martin Bevins, TEC vice president of communications & member services, spoke to the customizable and convenient nature of CWB and how they used their micro-site to eventually draw more potential attendees, “Because of the intuitive nature of the CWB’s back end system, staff can quickly update or add new information, keeping members up to date and aware of any changes as we approach the event. Linking to the website in digital communications such as email signatures and e-newsletters has increased exposure and built additional awareness of the event among potential attendees.”
In addition to being easy to navigate, the site is professional looking and showcases enticing photos to spark interest in attending. Site visitors are able to easily register, look through the agenda, and plan their trip with hotel and travel details. TEC also set up a sponsors page to show their appreciation to all those involved in making their annual meeting a success.
