Did you know that 90 percent of the energy used to operate a washing machine comes from using hot water?  A simple switch from hot to cold can save energy and money.  Also, consider air drying or line drying to save even more on your energy bill.  Source: U.S. Department of Energy.

Water heating and appliances can amount to be around 20% of monthly energy usage.  Making simple changes in the laundry room and using ENERGY STAR appliances in the kitchen can make big savings.
